Weavings were well represented at Vesterheim this summer in the National Exhibition of Folk Art in the Norwegian Tradition, beautifully displayed with painted and carved pieces. For example, Melba Granlund’s krokbragd piece was displayed next to a deep-toned rosemaled piece in the Os technique by Peter Stromme. Beside one another on the brick wall, the colors glowed.
